Rated 5 von 5 von aus Dash Cam This is one of the Best Dashboard Cameras that I have purchased. The Manual could do with more information on some of the features like "G" Force has Setting Option 4 3 2 1 but there is no explaination of what each Level means. There are a few others, but even with this, the Product is as Stated on the Box. The only difference in this version is the fact that there is no GPS feature which can be good if you want the video to show the GPS if you have an accident. My car has Ford Sync Emergency Assistance, so I did not need GPS, otherwiwse I would have got the GPS version.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Excellent Bought one of these for our 2nd car. The quality is just as good as the well known brand camera we had bought last year for the main car. That one was almost 3 x the price of this one. The only difference between the two is the GPS and a slightly narrower angle 140' vs 120' on this one. Would be useful if Screwfix sold hardwire kits to avoid the trailing wires and having to plug it into the lighter socket. I've since been back and bought four more for other family members.

Rated 2 von 5 von aus Ok daytime quality I've been looking for a dashcam for a few weeks and wasn't fussed about GPS so thought this would be ok. Daytime quality is pretty good and number plates can be made out on oncoming vehicles. Nightime quality is average to poor. Tail lights and headlights create a lot of glare across the screen and when playing back, the footage is heavily distorted. Maybe this one was faulty but I have returned it for a more mainstream make for a bit more money.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Ring RBGDC50 Dash Cam Great product, great value, but you must have the patience to learn how to use it because the manual is only a list of the menu options. I've been using mine for a few weeks and have figured out the menu settings by trial and error. With Motion Detection turned on, the camera starts recording when the car starts moving and stops when the car stops at junctions and traffic. I wanted the camera to continue when the car is stationary but with the engine still running, so Motion Detection is turned off. The G-Sensor detects when you are involved in a collision so it can lock the current recording so it is not over written. I had mine set to Level 1 but this caused the recording to lock every time I drove over a bump or pot-hole. It is now set to Level 2 and has been fine. When recording; the top right button switches on the night vision LED's, the bottom left button locks/unlocks the current recording, the bottom right button stops/starts the recording. I mounted mine on the windscreen at the side of the rear view mirror on the passenger side. This way it is not blocking my view and not a distraction. I tucked the wire between the gap between the screen and the roof lining then down the roof column. I then wired in a blank socket to a spare accessory 5A fuse slot, plugged in the plug and tucked it all behind the dash. I found a really useful video on YouTube for my make and model of car which gave me the confidence to give it a go. Hope this helps.

Rated 1 von 5 von aus Good price but faults I bought this product with the correct intentions to record my journeys driving in my van after getting fed up of all the near misses of people pulling out in front of me on roundabouts, junctions and the crazy overtaking with people frustrated that I'm sticking to the legal road speeds for a commercial vehicle. The product would freeze after about 10 minutes of recording and need to be switched off the on again only for it to happen not long after. The led function stopped working after a week and in cold weather it would struggle to record all together.

Rated 2 von 5 von aus poor quality product Within 6 weeks the windscreen sucker dropped off, leaving the rubber stuck to the screen. The joint between the rubber and attached moulding were not fit for purpose. Contacted RING direct and they replaced the assembly in a couple of days. However three weeks later the same problem occurred with the new part, causing the camera to bounce off the dashboard and breaking off the security clip that holds the camera too the connector. Whole lot now consigned to the bin, could not reccomend this junk even under duress. Should get out of the business of making anything as this device suffers from other problems like alerting that card is full despite supposedly having a roll-over recording feature which does not function either!!
