Rated 5 von 5 von aus Gets it done! Very sceptical of other reviews as people don't follow instructions generally... So i took the plunge and gave this a go. Needed to drill two holes for a shower valve in 12mm porcelain tiles. Carbide didn't touch them! This however got through them in less than a minute. I ran it at 2000rpm in a pillar drill with a squirt of water from a spray bottle every 5 seconds or so. Without forcing it too much i let it grind through at its own pace. Its expensive, but would you rather have a headache?! What i would say is... Always use water when using any cutter like this on stone regardless of what they say!!

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Superb Drilled 4 holes in ceramic tile - no sign of wear or bluntness and looked as good as new afterwards. But needs a fast drill speed - so use a mains drill or fully-charged battery - and PATIENCE. Let the bit do the work and be prepared for it to take 5 or 10 minutes. Worth dipping in water every so often and then drying it off - keeps the heat down and removes the dust. Also to keep it on the mark recommend using a piece of wood with a 18mm or 20mm hole drilled in it (as recommended in relation to another bit)

Rated 4 von 5 von aus It worked well! I had 4 holes to drill for pipes in new bathroom. Having read the one review it did not seem promising. It drilled the holes perfectly in grade 4 porcelain tiles and looks as if it will do many more. It does say dry drill bit but I used a water spray to keep it cool. Good price.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Fantastic Tool Love these drills. Used it to drill through granite and marble bases for mounting sculptures. They went through the materials effortlessly and no need for water either. Very pleased indeed. Have now bought a range of sizes.

Rated 4 von 5 von aus Shortlived Managed 6 holes in porcelain before this had worn out. Screwfix replaced it but the replacement fared no better. Averaged 10 minutes per hole.

Rated 1 von 5 von aus Marcrist it ain't I bought this bit to drill 4 holes in my bathroom. It managed to get through 1 before it became so dull it just kept cracking tiles. The polar opposite to the 6mm Marcrist bit I also bought which has sailed through 8 holes and counting. It's going back tomorrow.

Rated 4 von 5 von aus smooth through tile wall need to get that 15mm central heating pipe through the tiled wall nice and clean without cracking the tiles this is the kit to do it for optimum results use with drill guide sucker pad and a perfect hole every time. I used mine to go right through 12 inch thick wall with an extension bit on the end of it .no cooling water needed . just clean out debris in plug periodically while drilling . well worth the price
