Rated 5 von 5 von aus Unexpected essential tool I use these for something completely different from what they are meant to be used for. I have tiled a few walls now with large format (1m+) tiles and I find that if the wall is ever so slightly rounded or bent, the tiles can lip up at one end. We are only talking about 1mm if that, but with rectified tiles, that might was we'll be 1cm of lippage. So I'm using these props horizontally across the room to push the ends of the tiles down flush and level with thier neighbours until the adhesive sets. They work a treat, and mean that you are basically bending porcelain around the curves on a wall. Like I said, we are only talking about 1mm or less, but it's the difference between an OK job, and a great one.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Great little helper A pair of hands, great for supporting the lighter weight stuff like rafters when installing a velux type window, or ceiling joists when fitting a loft hatch and so on. Good for plasterboard, propping heads under lintols and so on. Light and easy to use, down side is the location sprigs brake easily if overloaded (that will be mis use)but can be rotated so all is not lost. Also the rubber bung at the foot tends to fall out easily, so if you find a black rubber thing in the van or on the job, it probably belongs to the prop. So much lighter than acrows for jobs which dont need acrows but need adjustable support.

Rated 1 von 5 von aus extension support rod Poorly made, flimsy, poor adjustment, no swivel to head just fixed and so almost useless on angled work, yes it does a job and if it were £10.00 cheaper I'd say fine disposable, when it breaks it breaks, the stoppers for the floor end are all loose the plastic handles break easily, mine fell to the floor and snapped. they are not true telescopic having spring stops at certain sections. Reduce the price, understand its inferior and will break very quickly then its just about acceptable, but its being passed off as a tool with a price that suggests it is far more superior in quality than it actually is

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Well worth having Brought these to help board ceiling after struggling the previous day and what a difference they made. Completed the job in half the time it took to do the same size ceiling them day before. Wish I had brought these years ago

Rated 2 von 5 von aus Props for the shed I bought a pair of these for my plasterboard lifting and due to the friction design, they dont last long, the grip wears out quickly. One still works though. The ally pins arent so strong either and all the rubber pads fell off in the first week. I wish id have bought the ratchet versions, which the dont seem to stock any longer. If you are a DIYer, they may serve their purpose of sitting in the shed for most of their lives! -Buy a proper plasterboard lifter!

Rated 4 von 5 von aus Extra pair of hands It's surprising what unexpected uses you can put a tool to one you've bought it. It's obvious use is for putting up ceiings and it's excellent for that (you really need two). Another use I found was for suspending a plumb bob to strike out floor and ceiling chalk lines for plasterboard walls. I will soon be tiling a small 1.6 metre square wetroom and I am hoping that these props can be used in a horizontal plain to secure tiling battens without screwing or nailing into carefully tanked walls. The one thing this product lacks is stabilising feet but it still works well inspite of this. The plastic handles could be more robust but it would take a fairly hefty thump to break them.
