Rated 5 von 5 von aus best screws ive used to date I purchased these screws this week as the client insisted on stainless steel for his decking, wow I've so far laid 40 decking boards with joints and not one has split used normal decking screws for many years and had to pilot the holes, not with these . expensive ? I don't think so, great quality at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

Rated 4 von 5 von aus Turbo Ultra A2 Stainless Steel These do what they say on the tin. Clearly a stainless screw will not be as strong as a carbon steel screw. That's because A2 SS is less than half the strength of carbon steel. The point above about the threads going right up the shank is valid, since the deep threads grip very well, it takes a lot of torque to shear the threads out of the board which is to be pulled up, and such boards should be pre-drilled to allow pull up, else a suitable screw with a straight shank should be selected.. I found that these drive well and did not experience cam out or head shear under reasonable torque loads.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus 5*60mm Screws Good quality, easy to screw in and did not lose the posidrive head. Suitable for screwdriver or power driver

Rated 1 von 5 von aus stainless screws. These screws were not satisfactory. Because the threads go all the way up but the shank does not increase in diameter they are intrinsically weak near the top unlike the longer ones. This means that they will not pull the timber closer together since the heads snap off if great care is not exercised during the driving. A very disappointing product !!

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Super delux screws for decking I had a garden project using decking and treated timber to form the support for raised flower beds. I wanted screws which would not discolour over time or leave rust or oxidation streaks no matter how damp the environment. So I invested in stainless steel to be sure of the lasting finish I wanted. The screws were driven home successfully with a power driver (drill) and the thread cutting tip worked fine. The heads of the screws were also well formed with no instances of blanks or miss formed heads sometimes found.

Rated 1 von 5 von aus No good! Have screwed an entire floor with these, I lost about 15% in head-shear due to the weak shank near the head caused by a full thread. It didn't even take much pressure, as soon as the neck hit the deck, it sheared. I ended up pre-drilling and countersinking the holes before screwing - NOT what it says on the tin. Very disappointing. These things are a WASTE OF MONEY. Use goldscrews, they're passivated and will survive most conditions plus they DONT shear when a piece of wood looks at them!

Rated 2 von 5 von aus Up to a point, Lord Copper Stainless steel screws are still fairly uncommon, so it is good that these are available, but whoever designed these screws failed to take into account the poorer mechanical properties of this grade of stainless steel (when compared to, say, galvanised steel). The thread form features extremely sharp corners at the root, which act as huge stress raisers. The combined result is screws that shear too easily. I've had the head shear on tightening, followed by the stem shearing again on attempts to remove it, leaving the hole blocked and unusable. I can't imagine any of these screws will be removable in a year's time. The only way to use these screws effectively in hardwood is to drill a pilot hole 1.5mm smaller than the screw nominal diameter and lubricate the screw tip with machine oil before inserting it.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Top Screw Great quality screws. Work well with impact driver and no corrosion whatsoever. Used to fix a Kebony treated timber cladding .. Recommended.
