Rated 5 von 5 von aus What a time saver I'm doing up my house, and having been given the task to hang a few items in the toilet and bathroom I thought a 20 minute job with the tile drill that I bought. 4 hours and 3 holes later I was almost admitting defeat when the Mrs read about this tile drill. So off I went to buy it not looking forward to having more money and time wasted. Having attached it to my drill and starting, it literally took less than 20 seconds to drill a hole. All holes drilled and fitted in less than an hour. I have never loved a tool so much in my life!!!! Thank you Mr Erbauer.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Wonderfull I regularly struggle drilling tiles and some floor tiles use a few masonry drill bits, I needed to drill some holes in quartz floor tiles so I thought I would try this, it worked a treat drilled through very quickly, however I used a template having read various reviews and due to the tip being flat, but I just drilled a same size hole I a piece of 12mm ply wood , placed in position and kneeled on the plywood before drilling magic no slipping

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Diamond tile drill. If you are tiling using a genuine porcelain tile, and it does to tungsten carbide what Kryptonite does to Superman, this is your answer. I suggest the use of a guide, its cost is cheaper than time and effort in changing the tile, start square to the tile with the bit, ensure a firm stance and hold of the drill, slow to begin with and light pressure to establish the start of the hole, then up to full speed as per manufacturers recommendations. Try the drill on an off-cut first, so you know what to expect when you use it.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Does the job! Bought this to drill through 12mm polished porcelain floor tiles, slightly in desperation after my normal tile drill has failed to penetrate even 1mm after 20mins of careful drilling. Drilled the first hole in less than a minute, no problem. Successive holes each took slightly longer and longer as I guess the tip started to wear, but still looks good to drill more after 6 holes. The drill instructions say to use dry, which is what I did i.e. I did not wet the tiip (up to you what you do though). Although I was hesitant to follow the instructions to run the drill at a very high speed, I quickly found that slow speed drilling was a lot less effective, and so ran the drill at the recommended higher speed - taking care to air cool it every so often to avoid cracking the tile In summary, yes it is expensive, but well worth it - I would recommend this product!

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Fast & Effective on Porcelain After struggling with a cheaper, water-cooled mini diamond core-drill (messy, and useless after 3 holes), and encouraged by the reviews here I decided to go for this and was delighted I did, as it made short work of the four remaining holes I needed to make in 10mm porcelain tiles. Used in conjunction with the Erbauer drill guide, which was worth the extra cost. Probably won't need this drill bit again for a good few years, but nice to know I've got it!

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Makes short work Boy those tiles were hard. Rounded off three normal masonry bits before checking out diamond bits. Decided on the Erbauer diamond tile drill bit because it seemed to be price positioned well, and I had no experience of how these things perform. Bought it, took it home, 10-minutes later had drilled 3 holes in a porcelain tile that had resisted all other efforts. Excellent product!!

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Totally worth the money Needed to drill through bathroom tiles but was unsure whether they were ceramic or porcelain. Took a gamble and bought a highly reviewed spear shaped drill bit. After over an hour on one hole, decided they were definitely porcelain and then quit. I then bought this instead. 4 holes now drilled and shelf on the wall in about 15 minutes. The spear drill bit certainly made a dent but that was pretty much it. It's also very annoying and messy having to keep it cool with water. With this bit, no water is required, and after 4 holes it still looks as good as new. Other reviewers have said that a drill guide is essential but if you only have a couple of jobs to do, then £15 seems a frivolous expense. Starting off, the drill does slide around a lot, even with masking tape over the tile. We found starting really lightly just to scuff the glaze worked, and then achieved a very clean hole.

Rated 4 von 5 von aus diamond drill bit Bought 6 & 8mm bits to use on porcelain tiles.First few hole were like a knife through butter, but almost instantly both stopped cutting through the tiles. Took them back and had them replaced without any bother. Whilst drilling the 2nd hole with a new bit, as soon as I removed the bit from the hole, it spat out a core of tile from the centre of the bit. after that i ensured that the core was kept clear, mainly by small taps to the shaft of the drill or if needed, a thick needle. This has stopped any overheating (drill uses wax to lubricate and cool) and thus stops it burning out. No trouble with the bit since
